Imposter Colorado TRaILs
It may be only a coincidence that there are other “Colorado Trails,” or they may be capitalizing on our success. But DON’T BE FOOLED, while these may be excellent establishments and products in their own right, they are not state of the art thermochronology facilities. We aren’t mad that so many people want to ride our coattails, it must be a mark of respect.
Wow, a guide to using a state of the art thermochronology lab at my local bookstore? Nope, DON’T BE FOOLED! This book in fact tells you nothing about selecting inclusion-free apatites!
When arriving in DIA, don’t be fooled. This Colorado Trail doesn’t have a single microscope, and while it serves beer, it is not a thermochronology lab.
Oh great, a map of the lab and all of the nearby coffee places….wait a minute, ANOTHER IMPOSTER! Nothing here helps you pack your zircons!
The Colorado Trail Homepage? I doubt it because there is no information here about how to prepare my samples for an efficient thermochronology experience.
